Operation Finally Home
Our Mission

Operation FINALLY Home provides custom-built, mortgage free homes to America's military heroes and the widows of the fallen, those who have worn America's uniform and sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms and values. OFH brings together corporate sponsors, builder associations, builders, developers, individual contributors, communities and volunteers to help these heroes and their families transition to the home front by addressing one of the most pressing needs — a home to call their own.

Home Groundbreaking/
Family Reveal

James Poggi & Family were overwhelmed for many reasons at this pillar event to see the progress of their new mortgage-free home and to find all the notes from across the nation sharing support and love for the sacrifices James has given for our freedom. Local media was present to capture the moments and shared on KMOV& KSDK along with a segment on KTVI The Thread with Tim Ezell and front page of the BND!
Notes of Love

A huge crowd showed up to be part of the Operation Finally Home Poggi family house dedication in Mascoutah. The ceremonies shared many special moments with recognition of those involved, prayers, blessings and heartfelt words from many close to this project. It is not every day that our industry gets to honor our hero’s with a home. Our HB&R strength, quality and love was put into this home with so many members and friends that touched this family. More surprises were waiting inside the home for the Poggi family in this whirl wind day of emotions.

Military Appreciation Weekend with the Chicago Wolves
Nov. 11 - Hometown HeroWhile serving in the United States Marine Corps, Lance Corporal James Poggi suffered a severe injury in Afghanistan as he helped to land a malfunctioning helicopter. His injury worsened over the years, which greatly limited his mobility and resulted in the amputation of his left leg. With the help of a prosthetic, Lance Corporal Poggi joined Wayne Messmer on the ice for the national anthem on Veterans Day as part of Military Appreciation Weekend, presented by Compass Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. and Sport Clips Haircuts.
